PRESENTATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE CONDUCTED SURVEY – EUROMETAR 2023

Eurothink – Center for European Strategies invites you to the presentation of the results of the EUROMETAR 2023 survey, which was conducted during September 2023 on a representative sample of 1003 respondents.

The survey of public opinion was conducted by the BRIMA agency on a multi-level stratified random sample of the population aged 18+ in the Republic of Macedonia. The sample design was made according to the data published by the State Statistics Office and is based on data from the 2021 Census according to the following variables: ethnicity (Macedonians + other nationalities on the one hand and ethnic Albanians on the other), regions (8 statistical regions in RS Macedonia) and settlement (village/city) rural/urban.

The survey also covers the citizens’ views on democracy in the Republic of North Macedonia, relations with the European Union, neighbors, foreign policy, elections and how citizens are informed, i.e. which media they use as a source of information, especially on the aforementioned topics.

At the presentation, we will address topics related to the following questions:

• What are the views of the citizens on democracy in the Republic of North Macedonia?
• What are the citizens’ views on the international position of RS Macedonia?
• What are the citizens’ views on the European Union?
• From whom and how would they like to receive information and knowledge about the chapters/clusters, about the accession process, of RS Macedonia with the European Union?

The survey of public opinion was conducted within the framework of the  “Media for the EU” project – a program of the civil society for the participation of the media in the negotiations for the membership of North Macedonia in the EU  with financial support from the European Union.
