According to the survey research “Eurometer 2015”, in Macedonia only 21% of respondents trust the media, while 43.7 % of them do not trust them Lack of confidence in the media is a result of strong politicisation among national TV stations, which is most prominent in their partial and imbalanced reporting as part of news programmes and debate shows, featuring exclusive appearances of experts and politicians that support the ruling party and sharing their opinions on political issues. In order to address the status quo, reform of the media system is considered to be of essential importance.
