On September 28, 2021, Eurothink– Center for European Strategies organized the first hybrid public discussion as part of the international project: Tackling illiberal and Eurosceptical narratives from below co-funded by the Europe for Citizens program of the European Union. This project is being implemented in collaboration with three partner organizations: The Scuola Normale Superiore – Florence/Pisa, Italy; University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and Jan Nowak Jezioranski College of Eastern Europe from Wojnowice, Poland. The event was held at the Faculty of Law, University of Goce Delchev in Shtip.
The goal of the project is to investigate the illiberal narratives and Euroscepticism in four countries in Europe: The Republic of North Macedonia, Slovenia, Italy and Poland. Several representatives of the partner organizations presented their research findings: Dimitar Nikolovski – Eurothink– Center for European Strategies; Manuela Caiani – Scuola Normale Superiore from Florence/Pisa, Italy; Marko Lovec and Faris Kochan – University of Ljubljana, Slovenia; as well as Adam Balcer – Jan Nowak Jezioranski College of Eastern Europe from Wojnowice, Poland.
The event attracted a wider audience consisting of students, interested citizens and representatives of the academic community and civil society. These types of events are envisioned to take place in each of the partnering countries. More specifically, each partnering organization will organize two events and the final one will be held in Skopje in June, 2022.
