On October 15, 2019, an information event was held in the premises of EUROTHINK, with a participation of media specialists. At the event, the team of EUROTHINK presented the latest data from the public opinion poll – EUROMETAR.
According to the poll *, the support of Macedonian citizens for EU membership remains high, while high expectations for rapid EU membership are reduced. Almost half (47.7%) of the citizens of North Macedonia expect a positive outcome from the upcoming European Council. Polls continue to confirm the trend of significant social polarization on issues related to the EU accession – ethnic Albanians and supporters of SDSM and DUI are greater supporters of integration than ethnic Macedonians and supporters of VMRO-DPMNE.

The draft data report is available at the following link.
The survey was conducted by M-Prospect in the period September 27 – October 14, 2019 on a representative sample of 1000 respondents with +/- 3.1% margin of error. The team of EUROTHINK is the creator of the survey questionnaire, and M-Prospect is responsible for its methodological correctness. The survey was conducted within the project “Citizens for European Reforms”, which is implemented by EUROTHINK, financially supported by Foundation Open Society – Macedonia (FOSM).
