Sliding promises

The most powerful political tool that guarantees the stability and security of countries / regions and prevents conflicts is EU enlargement. The current enlargement process lacks the political will and member states to lobby. The debate over enlargement versus accession fatigue makes the EU look like the Bermuda Triangle – the closer you get to it, the faster it disappears from the horizon.
